Dance Fundraising

Here at Studio 88, we have a fundraising program, D.A.N.C.E., to assist our dance families with any of their dance expenses. This dance season we have the opportunity to fundraise at Florida State University football, basketball, baseball and softball concession stands. We will also participate at the Donald L. Tucker Leon County Civic Center concession stands for any upcoming events. There will also be other brochures and online fundraisers available to participate in to include fruit, t-shirts, wrapping paper, Lucky goat coffee just to name a few. The nice thing about fundraising is that you can sign up for what works with your personal schedule or interest. The money raised can pay for any dance expense such as tuition, costumes, dance wear, competition fees, recital fees and more.

GENERAL INFORMATION

FSU Football, Baseball, and Softball Games
Generally, we need 6+ volunteers for each game. The big games such as NC State and Miami will require more people just due to the general busyness of these games. Global Spectrum allows volunteers to be 16 and up as long as minors have their parent or guardian working as well.
The schedule can be found at https://signup.com/go/DUDKYxH

Civic Center
Generally, we need 4+ people to work an event. Global Spectrum allows volunteers to be 14 and up as long as minors have a parent or guardian working as well. Please let me know if you’re interested in working. The schedule is updated at https://signup.com/go/DUDKYxH as events become available.

FUNDRAISING FAQs

1. How is money raised?

Money is raised by working on any fundraising event. FSU football games, civic center events, car washes, gift wrapping, Lucky Goat Coffee sales, flower sales, dinner & a show at the studio are just some of the examples of fundraising opportunities we have done in the past.

2. Who can work?

Any family member over the age of 14 can work an event. Persons under 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.

3. What can I spend money on?

The monies can pay for any dance expense such as tuition, costumes, dancewear, competition fees, recital tickets, and more.

4. How quickly will the money be deposited into the DANCE?

Monies are deposited as soon as they are received. In the past, they have taken 2-3 weeks after an event has been worked or an online fundraiser has been completed.

5. How do I use monies from the DANCE?

Just ask the receptionist for a DANCE Request For Funds slip. Fill it out and turn it into the receptionist.

6. What is the required uniform for fundraising events?

Official DANCE fundraising t-shirt
Black, tan, or khaki bottoms (Shorts are OK! -No jeans or leggings allowed)
Tennis shoes
Long hair must be pulled up

**If you are not in the required uniform, you will not be allowed to work the event.

7. How and when do I get an official fundraising t-shirt?

These are ordered through the studio. There are some shirts in stock at the studio. Please check with Miss Lauren. Shirt sizes range from adult small thru adult 3XL and cost $15 each.

8. What is the check-in time for FSU games?

Check in times vary based on the time doors open and where our assigned stand is. I advise that if you are working a FSU football game to schedule your whole Saturday to be at the stadium. A sample of the different events is below. Weekly game schedules with rosters will be emailed to you. So, make sure that we have your correct email address or phone number if you would rather the information be texted to you.

9. Carpooling?

For those interested in carpooling, we meet at Studio 88 in Crawfordville. We meet 45 minutes prior to the check-in time for the games. If you do not carpool, parking is up to you. Please don’t be late!

10. Can I bring food or drink with me into the stadium when I work a game?

Absolutely! Please bring a cup to the games as we are allowed free fountain drinks during the game and it’s important to stay hydrated because we’re busy. Personal snacks are welcome as well. Game days are long and you don’t want to have to pay stadium prices for your food. The Stadium and Civic Center have clear bag policies so keep that in mind when deciding what to bring.

**Also, each person who works a game will get one free “meal” per event. This usually consists of a pretzel or hotdog.
